If somebody tells you there is “just a market” happening in Torrevieja on Friday morning, they are underselling it.
The Mercadillo de Torrevieja has grown into one of the biggest weekly open-air markets on the Costa Blanca and attracts both locals and visitors every week. With hundreds of stalls and a surprisingly wide selection of products, it is closer to a small shopping district than a traditional street market.
