Torrevieja Says Goodbye to the Reggaeton Beach Festival

For three consecutive summers, Torrevieja’s Antonio Soria Park became the epicenter of reggaeton beats, water fun, and thousands of festival-goers dancing under the Mediterranean sun. The Reggaeton Beach Festival (RBF) managed to attract international artists, young audiences, and a strong economic impact for the city.

Yet, after the successful 2025 edition, which drew over 24,000 people across two days, the city council has now confirmed that Torrevieja will no longer host the event in the future.

Looking Back: Three Summers of Rhythm

Since its arrival, the RBF transformed Torrevieja into a summer hotspot for urban music fans. Stages with high-tech visuals, pools, slides, and big-name performers like Justin Quiles, Sech, and Darell turned the festival into one of the most recognizable youth events on the Costa Blanca. Local businesses also benefited, with hotels, restaurants, and taxis fully booked during the festival weekend.

The Present Decision: Closing a Chapter

Despite this success, the city council announced on August 29, 2025, that it would not renew the agreement with the organizers. The reasoning was clear: Torrevieja wants to diversify its cultural calendar and “open the door to new event formats” that attract a broader audience and reduce seasonal dependence on just one summer weekend.

Looking Ahead: What Comes Next?

Officials have hinted that new cultural and tourism projects are already in the pipeline for 2026, aiming to showcase Torrevieja not only as a party destination but as a city with a year-round cultural offer. While details remain under wraps, the end of RBF marks a shift toward more diverse, inclusive, and sustainable events.
