A New Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Day Center

Torrevieja’s municipal government has recently announced the tendering of a new day center for Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, named after Tomás Ballester Herrera. This project reflects the city’s growing focus on senior care and community support for families affected by neurodegenerative conditions.

  • Winning Bid: Francisco M. Juárez Pozuelo was selected from 13 competing companies to design the center.
  • Project Cost: €204,354.48 (including VAT) for the planning phase, with the overall construction estimated at around €5.5 million.
  • Timeline: Six months are allocated for the preparation of the design documents, followed by the necessary permits and public consultations.
  • Location: The center will occupy Sector 25, spanning approximately 2,700 m² for the building and 7,900 m² including urbanized land.
